This Is Apple’s Next iPhone
You are looking at Apple’s next iPhone. It was found lost in a bar in Redwood City, camouflaged to look like an iPhone 3GS. We got it. We disassembled it. It’s the real thing, and here are all the details.
What’s new:
- No screen!
- Voice activated
- Much slimmer
- Much smaller
- Much dumber
- More buttons !
- Two colors !
- Can activate projectors from a distant!
Why we think it’s definitely real:
We’re as skeptical—if not more—than all of you. We get false tips all the time. But after playing with it for about a week—the overall quality feels exactly like a finished final Apple phone—and disassembling this unit, there is so much evidence stacked in its favor, that there’s very little possibility that it’s a fake. In fact, the possibility is almost none. Imagine someone having to use Apple components to design a functioning phone, from scratch, and then disseminating it to people around the world. Pretty much impossible.

Rumor: iPhone 4 To Be Announced June 22nd?

We know the fourth generation of the iPhone will be announced sometime this June, but what date should you book off work so you can be glued to Gizmodo all day? June 22, according to a date booked at YBCA.
The Yerba Buena Center for Arts is located by the Moscone Center in San Francisco, where Apple has chosen to unveil its previous three iPhones at WWDC. It’s very likely that the June 22nd booking at the YBCA, under the name of Apple, has been earmarked for the keynote. The 22nd is pretty late in the month for Apple though—last year’s was the 8th, and the year before that, for the iPhone 3G, was the 9th.

Apple tablet in March for $1k : Rumor Mill

If you’ve been following mainstream news today, then it’s likely you’ve seen the story doing the rounds on new Apple tablet rumors, spurred by a note sent to clients from Oppenheimer analyst Yair Reiner. Never heard of him? That’s not surprising, since he has no real connection to Apple, and his job mainly consists of telling people how to move their money around — a Master of the Universe gear-cranker, you might say. Anyhow, Yair is sure that Apple will be releasing its 10.1-inch, multitouch tablet around March or April, with a ramp-up on production sometime in February. He also notes that the device will sell for $1,000 (so far we’ve heard rumored price points from $699 all the way up to $2,000), but ultimately Reiner seems most concerned with how it will impact Amazon, the Kindle, and book and media publishers.
According to the note, Apple has been in talks with publishers concerning a “very attractive proposal” in which the company will split revenue with publishing houses 70 / 30, as they do with iTunes and App Store sales (just as we speculated in our post on the Time Inc. digimag). What’s most disconcerting about the report is that it seems more interested in disrupting or dismissing what Amazon is doing (particularly noteworthy as the company is in the midst of its biggest season for Kindle sales ever). When financial analysts start squawking in this manner, we like to approach with caution. As of right now, we have zero solid evidence that Apple is even producing a tablet, let alone ready to drop one for a G come March. We have heard plenty of other rumors that corroborate much of this, but if the above is the plan, you can expect a big reveal from Cupertino around the time of Macworld or CES, so you won’t have to wait long to know the truth. For now, keep your BS detectors set to “stun.”
P.S.: See what we mean? Now a Piper Jaffray analyst is 70 percent certain (70 percent!) that Apple will introduce an iPhone for Verizon in 2010. Hold onto your hats folks, we’ve only just begun.

Orchard Ion – a classist approach
Me and my wife decided to visit Singapore’s latest shopping mall ION. The architecture is a class of it’s own, unique structure to the core. But to my suprise I was shocked to see how they distributed the different levels of classes in our society starting from the Basement being the average joes world and leading to the higher floors where brands like LV and Cartier reside.
You will also see how empty the main entrance with all classy brands is and how crowded the lower floors are ! This actually reminded me of Zion in the movie Matrix. I kinda felt weird and never went to that place ever…
Why did ION take such an approach? Isn’t there Paragon?
